So the other day I went shopping in the stupid gadget shop again, this time encountering the cell phone opener. This so called gadget opens flip-type cell phones for you instead of you having to put in the extra effort.
This would have been the #1 stupid gadget of the week, if it wasn’t for the SOM jerk off machine.

Digg is a “community-powered” technology news website, where one user submits a story and other readers decide whether the story is worth reading or not. No editors involved. It’s a great place to consume well-filtered news, even if you’re not participating in rating the news items or submitting them.

This time a mind game. In Tangram you’re supposed to put pieces together to match a shape, given to you by the game. I suck at this game, but you might like it.

Download Squad has a nice little piece with 20 cool geeky facts about Windows 1.0.
My favorite is “Windows 1.0 included multitasking capabilities, but did not allow windows to overlap.” I assume the marketing reasoning for the fact that windows cannot overlap in Windows 1.0 was that “windows cannot overlap in reality, either.”
Sometimes when I have an idea I dismiss it thinking no one will ever buy the product. But then comes along a device called Internet Traffic Cop and makes me think my idea isn’t that bad after all. I mean if someone will buy a device which basically disconnects your computer from the Internet by pushing a button for $50, then I can sell pretty much anything.

PocketMod, the free disposable personal organizer, is a very cool idea. It lets you create a small booklet out of one page with the content that you choose to put in it. There’s even an online version.
Google search comes in many languages. Some of the choices in the language page are pretty funny, like Bork, Klingon, Pig Latin and my personal favorites, Elmer Fudd (“I’m Feewing Wucky”) and Hacker.
