My Next Prodigy Show – Athens In September

The Prodigy just announced a show in Athens, Greece in September 17th. And I already have a ticket!

I found a video with good sound quality from the April 18th show. This time, surprise surprise, it’s not Smack My Bitch Up. My favorite track from the last album is Warrior’s Dance, which is also a great live track, as you can see for yourself (take a look at the crowd starting at 4:30.)

Paris – The Missing Post

We were so busy trying to find ways to get to Berlin that I didn’t feel like writing on the blog after so many computer hours. But now, just before leaving Paris for Dusseldorf, I can write the missing post.

My back was badly aching two days ago as we went to see The Prodigy for the second time. Rinat was a sick and on the verge of exhaustion. But still none of us wanted to give up on the experience. We decided to enjoy the show by standing and listening instead of frantically jumping around.

That plan failed miserably. You can’t be in a Prodigy concert and stand the entire time. It’s simply impossible. But it was a new experience for me to try, as I was standing there during some parts of the show just watching the stage listening to the music.

Yesterday we went to some antique market (I forgot which one) and then just walked the streets of Paris, which is my favorite pastime when it comes to cities II visit. Not being able to fly caused the rebelling child in me to really want to leave for Berlin. We went back to the hotel and started making calls to arrange rides.

Later on we went to a very nice international pub where a pub quiz was held. We provided a couple of local guys 2 answers and later on sat down with them and chatted for quite a while. It was a great experience and we had a good time.

Still recovering from the thrills that are a day in Disneyland and two consecutive Prodigy shows, we went back to the hotel for our last night in Paris. Now it’s morning – time to pack our stuff and start the ~1000 km journey to Berlin.

Back From The First Prodigy Show (Paris)

You know what’s going to be written here, right? It was amazing, exhilarating, the most fun I can possibly ever have.

I didn’t see too many people filming the show, but I’m hoping a decent video will show up on YouTube or something.

My ears are still ringing… tomorrow no alarm clock for us. We’re re-cooperating and preparing for the next show…. tomorrow night :)

Oh No… Not Another Smack My Bitch Up Video

As long as I’m going to live Prodigy shows there will be Smack My Bitch Up videos posted on this blog. One of the all time favorite live Prodigy tracks, there’s no wonder there are so many of those videos online.

Highlights:

0:45 – Liam drops the beat and the crowd goes crazy
1:14 – the crowd shouts the catchy lyrics in response to Maxim
2:39 – Maxim shouts “we do this shit every day”, something I never thought I’d hear from a live performer :)
4:08 – beat is dropped for the second time, crowd goes nuts again

The Prodigy In Prague

I came back this morning so still haven’t uploaded pictures from Prague. There are quite a few thanks to my friend that went with me. What I already have to show for this trip, though, is a cool clip from the amazing Prodigy show we’ve been to 2 days ago.

This video is from The Prodigy’s show in Brussels. I just love hearing the crowd shout the words at the beginning and at 4:07 it’s absolute mayhem when everyone jumps (it all starts at 3:30.)

Earthquake, Prodigy Style

My life hasn’t been great lately but excitement is growing towards a week from now, when I will go to see The Prodigy for the 6th time this year, 9th time total.

There’s no better way to fuel my excitement than to report that during The Prodigy’s show in Brussels a few days ago a scientific observatory of sorts, located near the venue, registered a minor earthquake. At least that’s what I could figure out from this translated news item.

I’m going to be inside the best earthquake ever :)

Personal Turmoils

I pondered using “personal turmoils” as a post’s title. After all, how many personal turmoils can a soon-to-be-33 year old bachelor can have? But I do have them and the title certainly describes my life lately.

Unfortunately I can’t go into details because I can’t imply other people on this blog. So that’s pretty much all I can say. It just needs to get out there so I can continue writing here without feeling as if I’m cheating by not writing that something has been bothering me lately.

One week to go for my next Prodigy show! This time one of my best friends is coming with me from Israel, which would be amazing. She’s the best choice for this as she’s been listening to The Prodigy for a month now and recently started learning Czech phrases for the single day we’ll be there.

Oh, and I got tickets for another show – Paris in April. Who’s coming? :)
